The Crees Foundation has been managing its 642-hectare private reserve for the past 20 years to facilitate natural regeneration, supported by its proximity to Manu National Park, of which it forms part as a wildlife corridor. Over this period, a standardized and systematic biodiversity monitoring program has been implemented, covering butterflies, birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, using both traditional and technological survey methods, such as transects and camera traps.
